Govinda Nepal-fund Govinda Foundation is a small group of family and friends from Norway,
Nepal, Slovakia and Denmark, who want to contribute for education for
needy We want to focus on kids that do well at school, but who face the possibility
of drop out from school due to heavy work burden at home, physical disability
and financial support. We want to give priority to We contribute directly to the kids through our local administrator, who work voluntarily for the Fund, and basically only with elementary goods— stationeries, books, clothes etc. As of today we give support to around 30 kids + some materials to schools. Our plan is to further develop, and contribute mostly in the more remote villages where we have our connections, where there is much need, and we can also get 'good return' of our "investment". Our drive to work with this is that we can see how little it needs to keep a kid in school, and that we have the possibility to contribute directly. That we know how great impact education have for the society, for the family, and for the individual and at large for the nation. In the
villages 30 Norwegian Kroner a month (US$5), can make a big difference
between staying in school, or not. This much of amount can easily meet
the needs for For future we want to develop our connections with women's village community
groups. As we have seen how extremely well they manage their funds and Our plan is also to hook up children and schools between our countries
in a letter exchange program through school kids from different background, We will continue to try to hook up the receiver directly with the donor or contributor, but we must also focus on how to keep all costs down. Our idea is to make 100% use of any donation or support come all through to the receiver. We are working on setting up such a mechanism or system that all funds meant for the children go directly to them. All management and administration are done on voluntary basis or by separate funds. As of now we can proudly claim that there is zero administrative or overhead expense. More information will soon be available on this page and with a login for contributors. Until then pls. take a look at our site, in Norwegian:
